"Ice cream... yum!" was all she said as she opened the door to the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Shop. It was a sunny Friday afternoon and Dakota had no odd activities other than random wanderign throughout Bridgeport, one of her favorite hobbies. She listened as the little bell rang on the door and then she walked up to the counter, "Strawberry kiwi luv." was all she said to the man at the counter as she pulled out her Hello Kitty wallet. It was pink, that wicked awesome kitty had a sunhat on and there were little rhinestones everywhere.
"Merci." she said as she took the cone with the pink and limegreen ice cream and handed over a few bucks. She smiled and walked over to a table beside the window where she sat down aimlessly. She watched as people passed outside. They walked about with shopping bags or briefcases. Men and women jabbered away on their cell phones. A woman walked past with a baby stroller containing a screaming infant. Dakota sighed and cocked her head to one side. It was strange, how people did things. She loved to see them go by though, it had a simplicty to it that she found everywhere. She licked her ice cream cone without noticing what she was doing and continued to gaze outside that window. She wondered what they saw in return. There she was, 17 and wearing an Elmo t-shirt with a pleated jean mini skirt and her bright pink hair left down in a comfortable mess she called her own. Her darker makeup and peircings made her look slightly rebellious but not to the extent of fear to small children. She smiled as a little boy walked by and stared at her like she was crazy, it made her laugh.

As Ceri sat on the bench that was just outside the sushi resturant. An egg salad roll was gripped in her hand, and she took a careful bite of it. Oh, how the girl loved her sushi. A lot of people found sushi to be the most digusting thing in the world, but she found it to be one of the best things ever. Not that she was obsessed, well maybe she was obsessed a little bit, but all sushi addicts were obsessed. They just didn't admit to it. If that even makes sense. Today Cerise had woken up, and yes she really wanted sushi, but she also wanted to have fun. To relieve her urges, she had first got up this morning, put on a tight fitting bright pink tube dress, drew bunny wiskers and a nose in black eyeliner onto her face, and then put on some fuzzy white bunny ears. After this she had drawn stich marks on her wrist, maybe that was why some people steretyped her as an emo. Ceri had even gone so far as to make it look like there was a horrible brusie on her arm, and then she put stiches in eyeliner over that handy work. The girl also had no shoes on they were sitting next to her on the bench.
Polishing off her sushi Cerise stood up and pulled up the black with white polka dots leggins she was wearing that had a black lace trim around the bottom. She giggled seeing as many people had been staring at the her. She thought she was pretty spiffy with her thick black eyeliner and pink eyeshadow with awesome bunny ears. The easr were fun to pet as well.
"Hmm," Ceri said to herself, "I think I want some icecream. Grabbing her shoes the bunny for the day walked down the sidewalk with a happy smile on her face. There was a bounce to her step almost like she was skipping. When she reched Baskin Robins she went inside the door and said, "Dink, to mock what the door was saying and then skipped her pretty little emo self up to the counter. Ordering a mint chocolate chip she payed for it and smiled at the guy who handed her the ice cream. He was looking at her like she was a mental person. Boy did Cerise get that a lot. Giggling she said thanks to the guy before turning around and serveing the shop. Everyone was staring at her pretty much. That is when she saw Dakota. Waving at her with a bright smile. She started to skip towards her as she licked at her ice cream. It was yummy. Reaching Dakota she said, "Well, hello love. What ice cream to I see you eating on a fine day as this is?"

Dakota looked up from her ice cream/people watching world and saw her dearie friend Miss Cerise Whitley. A great big happyful smile of mischievous doom spread across that girls face when she saw one of her bestest pals. "Oooo, I've taken the liberty of ordering myself a quite deliciously amazing strawberry kiwi ice cream cone of doom, and yourself Ceri?" she asked with a laughing smile. If there was one thing Dakota loved about this great big world she lived in, it was her friends and Cerise was one of her best. Probably her best but she didn't like to leave other out, aka Kalli and Aunie. Mostly Kalli though cause damn, she and Ceri and Kalli were soooooo close. Sometimes, Kota could have sworn she and Ceri and Kalli shared a brain or something.
"Oh, you must sit with me too Girlie. Ice cream is far more fun with friends!" she exclaimed casually. Kota had a habit of making odd little things sound completely normal. She attributed that to being friends with Cerise though because it was only since they met that she started doing so. She'd known Ceri her whole life though so, perhaps it was something they both simply did...

Ceri smiled at her firends respons to her awesome ice cream question and chortled a little covering her mouth with her free hand. The hand that she had named Mr. Sadistic Manaquin of Music in the sixth grade. The hand holding her icecream was Miss Fizzlesnorter. As an answer to her friends question she said, "Oh this beauty right here is a regular delicious decorated emergency of spazztasticalness. It is a delectable frozen treat of chocolate chips and minty fresh flavors that sets your taste buds off like fireworks." she said as she motioned to her ice cream cone with a goofy smile. It was like she was Willy Wonka describing a new candy he had come out with. It was fun. Ceri giggled and licked her ice cream before closing her eyes as she swallowed and saying, "How yummy it is."
When Kota suggest that they sit together she nodded hyperly and looked around the place with a careful eye. She had this thing about the perfect table. Sparing a moment from her looking she looked back at one of her best friends in the whole world and said, "Of course it is. How else would you be able to cream someone in the nose with the icecream when they were in the middle of eating it. Now, we got to find the special table that we will have to give a special name because it will be the table that we sit at whenever we end up here together." Looking around again she pointed happily and jumped a bit as she decided on the perfect table. It already had a family at it though, "Shall we ask them to move Kota?" she asked with a goofy grin at her friend, "I feel it, the table is calling to me." Fixing the bunny ears atop her head she eyed the table with a werid look on her face.

Kota laughed at her friend's Willy Wonkatastic style and nodded when Cerise said they should go to the other table. Dakota Oliveira had known Cerise Whitley too long and knew that her friend had a special thing about tables. She laughed stood up all happyfully. "I vote we do, a table is like a new friend to make, I luff new friends!!!" Kota laughed all spazzily.
She walked casually all over to that table of occupedness, "Errmm, excuse me happyful little family? Do you possibly think we could steal your table? My bestest friend here, she has a thing about tables..." Dakota asked all ponderfully. She could tell the family was slightly annoyed though.

Cerise followed her friend at a slight skip making her bunny ears wopple a bit and stopped when they reached the front of the table. She nodded when Kota said she had a thing about tables and smiled at the family making her eyeliner whiskers seem animated. They probably thought that she was some mental case that thought she had bunny kung-fu or something, but she just liked dress up. Hopefully Ceri rocked back and forth on her heels-impatient. She really wanted the table, but the family seemed annoyed. Giving them puppy eyes, or bunny eyes, she pouted a bit and said, "Please, I already named it and everything. Right Dakota?" she asked, in a vibrant tone of voice. Giggling quietly she stared at the family with that conviencing innocent face. Hopefully if she maintained eye contact they would understand that it meant a lot to her. They could also think she was just more crazy of course, but she really didn't care. She was special.

Dakota fought down a laugh at what this family probably thought of Ceri and her. Dakota looked pretty normal that day due to her not having time to dree up much tha morning but hey, she still had her Elmo t and bright pink hair...
"Yup, and you know what they say, once you give something a name, it's pretty much part of the family." she remarked with one of those sweet smiles. The family still looked annoyed but they looked like they thought these two girls were crazy above all. The mom nodded and they got up to leave. "Thank you, you made my day!" Kota called after them as she took a seat. "Feels like home alread." she sighed happily.
